Holy Spirit:  Power Up

You will receive power when the holy spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. Acts 1:8

Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the spirit. Ephesians 5:18

1. The Holy Spirit is not weird

2. Jesus said we need the Holy Spirit.

And I will ask the Father and He will give you another advocate, who will never leave you. John 14:14

The Holy Spirit is our teammate 

But the counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. John 14:26

The Holy Spirit is our teacher

When He comes, He will convict the world of guilt in regard to sin and righteousness and judgement. John 16:4
The Holy Spirit is our transformer 

3. The Holy Spirit is available, but not automatic.

And the disciples were continually filled with Joy and with the Holy Spirit. Acts 13:52

Being filled with the Holy Spirit doesn’t make me better than you, It makes me better than me
