got a lot of stuff today. All right, how many of you guys are excited to be in church today? Very cool. We're gonna just kind of pause here in the service before we move on to the message. Usually it's offering and then we're on to the message. But today's a really important day. I'm going to invite the production team to bring up the house lights for just a bit and I want to talk about a couple of things. I'm super thrilled to just to see everybody's faces, be able to see you guys and next week, in fact, someone someone I won't point any fingers or name any names, but people have been saying why would you do three services on Easter Sunday morning?
Speaker 1:Just look around right now. That's why Today is a little bit of a different Palm Sunday, especially. Usually Palm Sunday we talk about Jesus entering into Jerusalem and getting prepared for that last week before the Holy Week and just talking through some of those things. But today we are going to continue the series on God of miracles and today we're going to give you another miracle that you can take home with you and make a part of your faith and just raise your faith. Levels you and make a part of your faith and just raise your faith levels.
Speaker 1:But before we do that, and before I invite our special speaker this morning to bring us week number five of God of Miracles, I want to talk for a moment about some of the things that God is doing at Relate, as well, as we have a whole handful of TBI Texas Bible Institute graduate students that are in the room today, and I want to talk about some of the things that they have done.
Speaker 1:But before we do that, I want to update you on a couple of things. This week, Pastor Angela and I I was going to say we drove, but we did a lot of driving, but someone gave us a gift, not us a gift, someone gave the church a gift, and that's many of you might remember Pastor Doug and Susan in California. The last time they were here, which was January, we were describing the process of our baptism, and how many of you guys have been here when we've done baptism before in this building? It's been amazing to be able to do that and not have to use the rented swimming pool down the street, but we've been baptizing, thank God, in an answer to prayer.
Speaker 1:Yes, it's a hot tub, but it's an answer to prayer hot tub and it's only about this tall. And so any adults that get baptized we just have to put them in two or three times to make sure the water gets all over them, and it's just been a little bit of a struggle. I was telling that story to Pastor Doug and Susan. They said listen, we have a almost practically new, never used baptistry that we would love to give you. And listen, I hold on before. We've been trying to buy one and save our budget. Every time we get the budget almost there.
Speaker 1:Other things have come up for the building. As you can see, every week we're doing new things to the building and uh, and and getting us further and further along and uh, it's, the reason we haven't bought one already is because it's about five thousand dollars. And so when he said we have a brand new, practically baptistry that we want to give you, he said you just have to come to California and pick it up. So we said I'm coming, and it took us a couple months to get the job done, but this week we flew there and drove it all the way back home to use this month on our baptisms home to use this month on our baptisms. So really we got a brand new baptistry as well as when we were there, he said look, you made the trip. I want to give you guys a whole new camera system for your live stream. So we got two cameras. Some of the equipment I don't even understand, but we have it and our production team is excited Even this morning. They've got brand new equipment running and it's awesome to be able to read. For a couple of weeks we haven't had a live stream, so maybe that's why you're here today.
Speaker 1:You tried the live stream last week and it didn't work, but we're thrilled that it's our vision. We're thrilled that it's our vision. It's our heart to be able to use the tools like the baptistry and this building, the chairs that we're sitting on and the live stream to be able to reach the lost and touch our community and help people and do the kinds of things that we did last week, where we reached out to the community. The Bible says in John 3, 16, for God so loved the world that he gave his only son, his only begotten son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but what have? Everlasting life. That's the job we've been given is to help spread that message and to carry the tools that we put together in the building to reach our community.
Speaker 1:But as we were driving back through the California Central Valley and looking around at all the incredible things vineyards, and then just literally miles and miles, and miles all day long we're passing by fruit trees and nuts and all of the farming that happens in California trees and nuts and all of the farming that happens in California and I was very surprised that about 1% of the land of the United States produces about 40% of the fruit, nuts and table foods that the United States consumes every year. And we saw an example of how much fruit is coming out of California Central Valley when we were driving.
Speaker 2:Y'all. They had signs 20 avocados for a dollar. I told Pastor. I said surely that is a misprint, surely that is 20 for $10. $1.20. I couldn't and no one would believe me up there, no one would believe me that that was even a big deal.
Speaker 1:Y'all probably won't believe me, that is massive amounts of guacamole.
Speaker 2:people. Come on somebody. I couldn't, I couldn't. Californians, you have no idea. You live in the land of blessing.
Speaker 1:She wanted to stop at every fruit stand that we passed. I said we can't stop at every one. Most of them. Someone was bragging. Someone who were there was bragging to us about how much California does. And before all of the California people in the room get ahead of themselves, I'll just tell you that I looked it up and Texas produces more oil, more natural gas, more wind energy, the list goes on.
Speaker 2:We actually have more windmills in Texas than California, just putting that out there. All right, thank you, all of those things. We spent a lot of time in the car Googling, can you tell?
Speaker 1:All of those things that we passed along the way tractors and irrigation systems and all of those things To me. I was watching all the things it takes to produce the harvest, all the things it takes to produce the fruit, and I thought about picking up a baptistry. And that's another tool in our field to work the harvest. It's another field. It's another tool to use the cameras that we're installing and all the equipment, microphones and musical instruments, and it's another way for us to reach and do the job. And I thought why God love God loves his people and the church so much. Why? Why are we still waiting? Because we're waiting. The Bible says at some point we're going to meet him in the sky and we'll have this moment that we call the rapture, where the trumpet sounds and his church meets him in the air. But why hasn't that happened yet? Why? Why are we still here having church and watch this?
Speaker 1:In James, chapter 5, verse 7, it says be patient then, brothers and sisters, until the Lord's coming. He's going to come back. Somebody said amen, see the farmer. Then he gives us this illustration to double down and show us why hasn't he returned, why hasn't the Lord returned? See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop, patiently waiting for the autumn and spring rains. In other words, there's still work to be done in the harvest. There's still field to be worked. There's still. But we're not looking for more apples or more almonds or more strawberries, which we see physically. What we're looking for is the souls of men and women and families that can be brought back. We say this all the time that we want to unload hell. There's this long line, a wide road of people who are headed on their way to hell. They may not even know it, they're just living life, and we're trying to unload hell and load up heaven with people whose lives are transformed and changed. Jesus said to the disciples the harvest is great, but the workers are few. So today, I want us to look not just at the tools we're receiving and our ability to reach more people, but I also want us to look at the workers in the field.
Speaker 1:About a year ago, we announced that we were going to start a Bible school program, and if you've ever wanted to be in ministry school, Bible school, be ordained, all of those things then we want you to be involved in the Texas Bible Institute right here at Relate Community Church, and we started that program and almost 40 people signed up for our very first class ever, and today we're going to celebrate with them the completion of one year of training and studying the Bible and getting a foundation in God's word that will take them not just into the rest of their life, but also to they learn how to share what God's word says, how to be confident and comfortable and bold in what, and it's just the first step.
Speaker 1:Guys, Some of you are thinking I'm still not where I should be. That's that's true. None of us. We're all on this journey to learn how do I become who God made me to be? And so the purpose of that program in this church was to create a love of God's word and teach the biblical foundations needed to be a disciple of Jesus. And so today, not only have they gone through that program, but they've also, today will receive a diploma for Christian Life Studies through the Texas Bible Institute.
Speaker 2:So this is really full circle for me, because this is actually the Bible school that I graduated from in 1999, before I got married. My parents said you have to go to Bible school before you can get married. And I said okay, we'll do that, let's go. And so I lived in Columbus, texas, for nine months.
Speaker 2:I tried to hire you and keep you there, but in fact, I got a message from the president of the Bible school yesterday and said I remember you from 99. How full circle is this for you? And I said you have no idea, pastor Rachel, because my own kids are graduating today, texas Bible Institute, jake Jackson Grace. This particular study shaped who I am as a believer. It shaped who I am as a leader and when they reached out last spring and gave us the opportunity to be a satellite campus, I knew I knew that it was the right time, because so many of you have asked for more and that's exactly what the last nine months have been, the two semesters that you've been through. It's more, and I am so proud of you, so proud of you.
Speaker 1:Very proud of you guys and just excited. Listen, not only have they become more bold, we've seen them grow over the last year. It's just the first step in many that God will take you on toward the purpose that he created you for. We say this all the time for our dream team that you were created on purpose for a purpose. The same way that he were created on purpose for a purpose, the same way that he created you with purpose, he also created the purpose for you to walk toward and work toward, and so we're putting our shoulders to the wheel together and I'm excited to see you guys grow.
Speaker 1:Many of them will continue into the second year of this program and continue into the summer and fall and continue to uh, to grow and and have further studies and continue in ministry training, practical ministry training. They're getting assignments and, um, I will say this it's, it's one of the best things in ministry and in in the service of the Lord to see someone else take a step of faith toward what God has for them, and I'm excited about all of you guys in the room today. I believe we're going to take some steps when we get to the message, but right now I'm going to invite all of the students, all of the potential graduates, today. Would you guys go ahead and stand up and make your way into position? Will the graduates please prepare for the conferral of diplomas? Let's do that.
Speaker 3:Thank you.
Speaker 2:Amy Aguilar, leonardo Carrillo, oh, oh oh. Jeanette Cook, megan Lynette.

Speaker 2:Jackson Raymond Jake Mooney.
Speaker 3:Lana Nielsen, adrienne Piazza, carla Rios, jose Rios.
Speaker 2:Jamie Russell, sherri Slagle, my girl Rhonda.
Speaker 3:Wilcox. Janie Wilson Woo. Janie Wilson Woo.
Speaker 2:Give them a hand, my goodness.
Speaker 1:Awesome. Let's do one thing before we go on. Can I have all of the graduates stand for just one moment? They're making their way into position here. I just want us to pray for them, guys, I believe that God has great, great, great things prepared for all of us, purposed for all of us, and it requires us to say yes. And so today I want to say this prayer and this dedication over them, in that context that, as they step out, that God would prepare the way ahead of them he's already prepared the way ahead of them and that God would bless the efforts of your hands to produce and be fruitful.
Speaker 1:Let me pray for you, father. I just speak faith over my brothers and my sisters as they have made this commitment, as they have lived the last year with dedication to complete this process and to dig into your word and to start this first step in the next season and the next, this next chapter of their life. God, that you would just begin to open doors for them that would produce fruit, open doors that would make connections with people everywhere, that you want them to be, god, that you would direct them, that they would. That they are learning to hear your voice and tune into your voice and follow your word in their lives. God, I thank you that you would lead them to fruitfulness for your kingdom, that you would give them the urgency and boldness, being filled with the Holy Spirit, to do your work, to see lives changed, to have a heart full of compassion. I speak blessing over them, I speak life over them, I speak favor that, everywhere they go, god, that the room that they stand in that they would have favor. That every hand that they shake and every hug that they give would bring them favor in those relationships as they point people to you, god hand that they shake and every hug that they give would bring them favor in those relationships as they point people to you, god, as they carry your word and your mission in life. That you would bring fruitfulness and success to them as they are aligning themselves with your purpose In Jesus' name. Amen, amen, y'all give it up one more time. Amen, y'all give it up one more time. All right, we are still in time to do a lot of things. But, brother joseph, if you'll go ahead and get ready, but don't come up just yet, next week is easter most of you guys know about that. Looking forward, y'all gonna have to pick which of the three services you want to go to. We always have Easter invites and I would encourage you. There's some more on the table. There's some of those invites.
Speaker 1:If you want to invite your friends, family, coworkers, here's what I would challenge everybody in the room to do. I need you to help me with a couple things, and the first is this Next week, instead of a connect card, there will be no connect cards in the room there will be an Easter survey. So if you're here next week and you think, oh, this is my church, I've been here a thousand times, I don't need to fill out anything. I need your help. I need you to fill out the survey, the Easter survey, and I'm going to say, I'm going to ask you to do it, but it's not really for you, it'll be for the person who's sitting next to you that's never filled out the survey. If they're the only ones doing it and it's their first time to church, they're not going to do it. But if they look around and all of us are filling out the survey, then the part of the survey is helping them to make a decision to live for Jesus. And if they see that other people around them are doing that. They're not going to feel awkward, and you can help me take out the awkwardness in the room just by picking up the survey at the end of the service next week.
Speaker 1:So how many of you guys will commit to me? I will help with the survey? Okay, some of you don't have your hands up, so I'm going to ask one more time Because it might make the difference on someone's. They might walk in and their heart is heavy and their life is going a thousand percent in the wrong direction and they pick up that little card and they make a decision in that moment that will change their life and change their children's lives and change their family tree and from that moment they might begin the process of transformation that God wants to do in their life. And it might help if you pick up the card and fill it out. So how many of you will commit to help me fill out the card next week? There we go, all right, that's good, all right.
Speaker 1:Second thing is this this feels like we're doing just some housekeeping right here, so this is a card that we're inviting everyone to join us. Take. There are probably several thousand of these on the table out in the front, in the foyer, on your way out. Grab a little stack, whether it's five or 10 or 20 or 100, however many you think. You can go around your neighborhood and this is not an Easter invite, this is an outreach of this church to pray for our community and pray for our neighborhoods and pray for our neighbors and our friends. All it says on it is this this house has been prayed for. And then you can put your name. We're going to walk around our neighborhoods. Just maybe it's walk around your block and pray for your neighbors and then you hang this on the door with your name on here. Just, you don't even have to write your whole name if you don't want them to figure out who you are.
Speaker 1:But next Saturday morning we're meeting right here at 930. If you want to go and do the prayer walk with us, we're going to be here at 930. We'll have breakfast together, just briefly, and then we'll talk for a little bit and then we'll spread out, go to different neighborhoods and pray over our neighborhoods. And if they're interested oh, somebody prayed for my house there's the website on the back. They can figure out who we are. But it is simply for us to pour out love and prayer and give something to our community, and if you want to participate in that, we want you to be with us next week. All right, at this point in time, I want to invite Brother Joseph. Y'all give it up for Brother Joseph today. Here we go, I'm sorry, thank you.
Speaker 4:Hallelujah, hallelujah.
Speaker 4:Can you hear me now Praise the Lord? Pastor Sean, you did a good job for me, you know. First time is I had the hand mic on and I messed up. At the point I put it down. I didn't want to use my mic, but now you've made it easy for me. Thank you, pastor Sean.
Speaker 4:Thank you for giving me the privilege to speak to the church this morning and to bring the word first to our graduands from TBI. Let's put our hands together for these people. Hallelujah. And I want to tell you, guys, I do not believe so much in certificates, I believe in being certified, the certificates you received in your hands. Tbi graduates, I want to tell you God has certified you to become a storm stopper. From this message, you are going to be storm stoppers. In the name of Jesus. Hallelujah, let's pray.
Speaker 4:People of God Father, I thank you for this message. You are going to be storm stoppers. In the name of Jesus. Hallelujah, let's pray. People of God Father, I thank you for this morning. I thank you for today's service. Thank you for how far you've helped us, lord, this far. I pray Lord, as your word comes, you will give everyone a miracle in this service. Lord, take over. I hand over this service, anoint my tongue to speak your word to your people.
Speaker 4:This morning, in Jesus' name, god's people say amen, hallelujah. My name is Joseph Bayekusi, I'm from Nigeria and I bring you words this morning, in line with you know, pastor Sean has been giving us a teaching on the God of miracles. Somebody say miracles. How many of you want or desire a miracle here in today's service? How many of you have ever heard a miracle in your life before? Who wants a new miracle this morning? Give it up to the Lord. Hallelujah, you are going to get a miracle today. Hallelujah, hallelujah, you are going to get a miracle today.
Speaker 4:And Jesus, while he walked on the face of the earth, he did 37 recorded miracles. Today, I want to give you one of such miracles that Jesus you know performed, and with that I want to tie to my message. Calming the storm. Somebody say calm the storm. Calm the storm In Mark, chapter 4, and from verse 35,.
Speaker 4:I want to read this scripture and I want you to follow me well, because right in this scripture we will see the principles and how Jesus calmed the storm, even on this day, and whatever storm that you may be going through right now, the Lord is going to perform a miracle for you. I take from verse 35, mark 4,. It says and the same day, when the evening was come, he said unto them. He said unto them let us pass over unto the other side. Tell your neighbor the other side. And when they had sent away the multitudes, they took no. And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship and there went also with him other little ships.
Speaker 4:Verse 37. And there arose a great storm of wind into the ship, so that it was now full, and he was in the hinder part of the ship talking about Jesus asleep. Tell your neighbors asleep on a pillow. And they awake him and said unto him Master, carest thou not that we perish. And he arose. Tell your neighbor arose and rebuked the wind. Tell your neighbor rebuked and said unto the sea Peace be still. And the wind ceased and there was great calm. Praise God. This was an account of Jesus.
Speaker 4:If you take from verse 1 of this chapter, jesus was preaching on a ship in the sea, like as I'm on the stage right now. This was where Jesus was preaching for and all the crowd was here, like this on land. And as he preached, he was talking to them about the parables of the sower how many of us know the parable of the sower? And he was teaching them about the different parables of the kingdom. But after he finished his message that evening, he told his disciples guys, we need to go from spring, let's go to Sugar Land, let's go to Pear Land, we're done with spring. And as they were about to set out, or whether on the sea there was a great storm of wind, I don't know what you're going through in your life right now that Jesus is with you. Jesus sent you on a call, like our TBI graduates. Jesus has sent you out. He has empowered you from this training to go into the world and make disciples of men.
Speaker 4:The storms will come. It's not if the storms will come. In Matthew, chapter 7., verse 24. Jesus was telling them. He said he that heareth the sayings of mine and doeth them. I will liken him unto a man that has built his house on the rock. When Not if when the storms come, it cannot beat down the house. Why? Because it was founded on the rock. So in life, storms are going to come. Marital storms may come. Health storms may come. Financial storms may come, children challenge storms will come, barrenness challenge may come, the storms of life. We are not cocooned. We are not immune from the storms of life, but one thing Jesus has guaranteed us from this chapter is that the storm will not swallow you, the storm will not drown you, the storm will not overcome you.
Speaker 4:And so he went and they were on that sail. Maybe when you got married For married people you loved your wife, you cared for your wife, there was so much butterflies in your stomach for one another and there was honeymoon, there was all kinds of things. You started the sail very smoothly. Jesus started on that sea. It was a smooth sail Until they got to some point and the storm came. You started the sail very smoothly. Jesus started on that sea. It was a smooth sail until they got to some point and the storm came. Maybe you just got a job and you started the job so well, but in the middle of the job there is a storm. Maybe in your finances. You started well, you are building your retirement plan and a storm comes to swallow up all the money you've been saving. There is going to be a storm someday.
Speaker 4:How do you calm the storm? How do you stop the storm in your life? Jesus is showing us how he did it and he wants to show you today how you're going to calm your storm too. Somebody say an amen, amen. What did Jesus do? What three things did Jesus going to calm your storm too? Somebody say an amen. What did Jesus do? What three things did Jesus do to calm the storm?
Speaker 4:Number one verse 39. The principle of calming the storms of your life. Number one Jesus arose, arose. He stood up to address the situation. What situation are you going through? Are you just folding your hands and watch that health challenge dwindle and dwindle and you find yourself you are helpless. Jesus arose. Tell your neighbor arise and face that situation, calm that storm. Number two yourself, you are helpless. Jesus arose. Tell your neighbor arise and face that situation, calm that storm.
Speaker 4:Number two Jesus rebuked the wind. Mark you. He did not rebuke the storm. The storm is the symptom. The wind is the cause. What caused the storm? Most of the times when we go through crisis, when we go through the storms of our life, oh, my wife and I are in a state of about to divorce. Oh, we are barren. We've been married for eight years, ten years, no child. That's a storm. What do you do? It's not to address the cause. I mean the symptom. Face the cause. What caused the storm in your home, in your life? So Jesus rebuked the storm. The word rebuke here means it's turned command with spiritual authority. Do you have spiritual authority over that storm? That's why you need to root yourself in the word of God. That's why you need to have the word of God on your inside. Satan came to tempt Jesus and how did Jesus overcome Satan? It is what Written. Do you know what is written concerning that storm that you are going through right now In the Word of God. Pastor Sean, help me, pastor Sean, I need you. Pastor Sean, I'm not used to this. Oh my God. Hallelujah, hallelujah, my African sister. July 31st 2021.
Speaker 4:I was hit with a storm here. I was about to do an interview for some staff I was about to employ in my organization. Very early in the morning it was a Saturday morning I got to the front of the gate of my company and I opened. So I drove to the front of my gate and I put my car on neutral Instead of what I put it on neutral. Come on, will the car stay? Yes, it should stay right and, without confidence, I came out of the car. The gate man was not around.
Speaker 4:It was early in the morning, so I came down from the car and I opened the gate To go back into my car. What did I see? My car ran towards me and clipped me on the fence, crushed me on the fence of my gate A Toyota Highlander, very heavy car and I stood there. I could not come out. I was pressed to the fence and I stood there. How could not come out? I was pressed to the fence and I stood there. How do I come out? Nobody was in sight. Who's going to help me?
Speaker 4:I stood there and the Lord told me what to do and I used the strength of the last strength of Samson, and I said God, give me strength to push this heavy truck out of the way. So God gave me that strength. I pushed the truck out of my front and, as I did, I did like this, I did like this and I came out to the floor. I stood on the floor. I thought I would be able to get up. Guys, I could not move. I was crushed on the floor. The storm started and I was here. I could not help myself Again. I prayed to the Lord. I said, lord, give me strength like Samson again, give me strength to stand up. I stood up by that strength and as I stood up I got into the car, drove the car into the compound and that was it, guys, for the next six months of my life I was crippled, I had broken my pelvis, it was gone. Jj help me.
Speaker 4:And as I stood there with that challenge, my wife and my two senior daughters. They went somewhere. Just hold it, hold it there, my wife and my two daughters. They were somewhere a bit far from me on that side of town and they quickly rushed me to the hospital in our church university, convenant University in Nigeria, and they rushed me to the teaching hospital there and then they gave me false treatment. They gave me very severe painkiller. It was severe. I was on tramadol, I was on all kinds of you know heavy painkillers and my wife said no, you cannot stay here tonight, we have to move you back to Lagos, because this was outskirts of Lagos. We have to go back to Lagos. And then that night, at about 10.30 in the night, my wife drove and we went back to Lagos.
Speaker 4:By the morning of the next day we went to the hospital and then I was admitted I didn't even know at this time what had happened. I just knew I could not walk. It was when they did the x-ray and then did the CT scan and all of that, that they found out my pelvics were broken. And I sent the result to a friend, a doctor friend here in America, and I told him. I said, dr Wally, please, what's going on? He saw the result and he said, joseph, your pelvics are broken. Then you are going to have a surgery and then you are going to put some metal to hold your bones here on your waist.
Speaker 4:And then my wife did something. My wife did something very spectacular that day. She said, hey, so I was on the bed on an orthopedic mattress for six months. My wife said, hey, even though we will do medicals, let's do the Word of God. So my wife got all my five children, one by one go find out what scriptures do you know in the Bible. Write down your scriptures, get me the Word of healing, put it down. And my children, one by one. On each paper, like this, they wrote Isaiah 53. You know, one by one, they were writing all those scriptures. So every morning, each of my son or my daughters will come, flip the chapter, flip the script, flip the scripture, and then the word of God was going into me. Come on, the word of God was going into me. The word of God was going into me.
Speaker 4:That guy that could not walk. 17 days of my life I could not move. I could not take a shower for 17 days. For the next three months I could not get out of that bed. But the more my wife and my kids were praying for me, god began to do his surgery on me. God began to work on me Before you knew it. At the fourth month, I began to move. At the fifth month, I began to move. At the sixth month, I began to come out of the bed and I began to move on crutches. I began to move like this on crutches. Never in my life have I done this. And the Lord began to work on me.
Speaker 4:The storm he began to calm the storm in my life. He began to stop the pain and the broken pelvis. He began to bring it back to me. Bone began to come to his bone. Day by day I was getting healed. Hour by hour I was getting healed. One day, one day. I dropped this off. I dropped this off. The storm was over. The storm is going to be over in your life too, as you release and receive the word of God, and this is how Jesus did it Rebuke the storm, rebuke the wind of your life. You got to rebuke the wind. How did Jesus rebuke the wind? What did he do? Like I said, he did not rebuke the storm, he rebuked the wind. He rebuked the wind. Don't rebuke the storms. Go to the cause. What is causing that marital storm in your life? What is causing your financial crisis? Rebuke that challenge and I want to give you 12 wings that can blow on you and bring the storms to you.
Speaker 4:Number one strong satanic powers and forces and causes. We know the story of Job. Job was a righteous man, job was a rich man, job had it all. But, guys, satan will come at you and he came at Job and he attacked the three most important things of our lives your health, your finance and your family. Is it your finance? Is it your health? Is it your family, your children, your spouse? He attacked Job on all three fronts so Satan could be behind your storm.
Speaker 4:The woman that was bent 18 years, she could not move. Jesus went to her. He said ain't this the daughter of Abraham? That she should be set loose from her infirmity, whom Satan has held bound these 18 years? And Jesus spoke over that situation and he told her stand up. And the woman was healed. You've got to rebuke Satan in your life.
Speaker 4:Bible says he has given you power and authority Luke 10, 19. To trample upon snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the powers of the enemy. He says death and life are in the power of the tongue. Use your tongue to speak life. Use your tongue to speak death to situations. This is the power we have as children of God. Don't come to church. Hear the word, begin to do the word. He says I'm not pleased with the hearers only, but I'm pleased with the doers of my word. He that doeth this thing. The enemy will blow the winds of life, but you do not pull down your house and at the end of the day, god restored Job, god restored his finance, god restored his health, god restored his family. God is going to restore you today, in the name of Jesus.
Speaker 4:Number two what is that wind that is blowing against you, causing a storm in your life? Disobedience to God's commandments. That is major. Tell your neighbor major. God told Jonah go to Nineveh. I'm sending you on an assignment, go. But what did Jonah do? He went to Tarshish. Disobedience. And Jonah practically experienced the storms of life. The ship where he was was about to swallow everybody until he told the captain of the ship I am the cause of this storm. Are you the cause of this storm in your home? Check yourself. Bible says, examine yourself, check yourself. It may not be the devil, it may not even be God, it may be you, cousin, rocking the boat in your home. Don't disobey God, he that heareth the saying of mine and doeth them. Do the word, the storms will be over.
Speaker 4:Number three wrong decisions and choices. Talking about Paul, we all love Apostle Paul. He wrote two-thirds of the New Testament. But do you know, at one point in his walk with God, paul took a wrong decision. He was not supposed to go to Rome, he was not supposed to preach to the Jews, but he had in him a burden, a love for his people, and out of that he found himself in the storms of life. Acts chapter 27,. He suffered a shipwreck. Disobedience, wrong decisions, wrong choices. What wrong choices are you making in your life. Oh, god said don't get engaged to this guy. You went ahead because he's tall, dark and handsome. Oh, because he's rich. Come on, guys, the storm is coming, but it will not come to you.
Speaker 4:Number four lack of knowledge and wisdom Causing you to struggle, to have some turmoil and oppression in your life. What do you lack? The Bible says Hosea 4, verse 6,. It says my people, not the world, my people are what Are destroyed for lack of knowledge. They don't have a knowing, they lack wisdom. He says if anyone lacks wisdom, let him ask the labor of the foolish weary at all. He doesn't know how to save the city. Lack of knowledge can cause the storms of your life. You need to be filled with knowledge. Peter was struggling in his business. He didn't know how to catch fishes. This was a professional fisherman but until he called on the master and the master told him cast your net on this side, what happened? There was breakthrough in his business. God is going to cause you to breakthrough in Jesus' name. Master, sean, help me.
Speaker 4:Number five negative attitudes Causing you to lose relationships and jobs. And you know good things God has planned out for you. What attitude are you putting up in your job? You get to work late. You think they won't sack you. You think they won't fire you. Pastor Susan preached the message last time. He said don't fire them. What do you do? Fire them up. Are you the type that you'll be fired because of your attitude to the job? You are not involved in what you should do on your job. Thank you, pastor Sean. Can I use this? Is my voice better here or here? Praise God. Thank you, pastor Sean. So what negative attitudes are you putting up with your spouse? What negative attitude are you putting with your children? What negative attitude are you putting with your parents? It could be the reason why you are on this tummy part. Stop it.
Speaker 4:The next one is bad habits. It could be the reason why you are on a stormy path. Stop it. The next one is bad habits. You eat too much and you want to have a healthy life. You eat junk. Check your eating habits. It might be the reason for your health challenge. Somebody's agreeing with me, right. Check your eating habits. It could be the storm causing a storm in your life. Gehazi, gehazi was more of money. Pastor John, I want to be your assistant pastor in Relate Because I know Relate has a lot of money so I can make good money too. Is that the reason why? What's the motive behind what you do? Bad habits? Break from it. You watch too much TV. You are always on your phone. Watch out, you are so much into all of are always on your phone. Watch out, you are so much into all of that. Change your habits, guys, and the storm will be over. It says the storm is over. The storm is over now. That's how to bring out into your storm.
Speaker 4:Number seven, as I quickly round up Wrong walk business ethics and discipline. We saw that in the life of Aaron. Aaron was supposed to be an assistant pastor to his younger brother, moses, but what did he do? He did not have the right discipline. When his younger brother went to the mountain to get the Ten Commandments, what did he do? He did not have the right discipline. He made a golden calf. He misled the people of God and the storms of life came upon the whole nation, upon the whole nation. So the storm could come on a nation. The storm could come on a family. The storm could come on an organization. It could come also to an individual Because of wrong work ethics.
Speaker 4:The next one is improper financial disciplines. We saw that in the life of the prodigal son. The prodigal son took of his father's wealth and squandered it. The Bible says he spent his life on riotous living. Riotous living. Bad financial practice you want to buy the latest phone at every time. You want to buy the latest car. What's wrong with the car you are driving now? Will it take you from point A to point B? Do you really need that new car? Financial discipline it could cause a storm.
Speaker 4:The next one is strong addictions Causing you to be negatively hooked to the act of sin. Talk about David, a man after God's heart, a man after God's heart. What happened? David had this habit of sexual sin. David had this habit of sexual sin. He had this habit of sexual sin. David married eight women. He not only had eight women, he had concubines. What do you need all that for? And his son came, at the end of the day, to master the arts. 700 wives how can you do that, guys? And 300 concubines, richie, sean, how can you do that? Not your portion. And with all of that, he brought a lot of calamity into his household. His eldest son was murdered by his other son into his household. His eldest son was murdered by his other son. Absalom killed Ammon because of sexual sin. Ammon had Ammon raped Absalom's sister. It was running in the family.
Speaker 4:Bad habits, sexual sin what are the things that you know you're addicted to? You're addicted to drug. You're addicted to drug. You're addicted to pornography. Whatever it may be. Get it out of your life so the storms of your life can be over.
Speaker 4:The next one is evil and toxic relationships and associations. Solomon, like I just said, had 700 wives, 300 concubines, 1,000 women in your life. And guess what? In 1 Kings, chapter 3, the Bible says and Solomon loved the Lord, he had only one wife then. And then in 1 Kings, chapter 6, or chapter 9, I think, the Bible says and Solomon loved so many strange women. See how his evil associations took him away from God, brought a lot of storms to his life, brought a lot of storms to the nation of Israel. At the end of his reign, his son Rehoboam took over. He could not keep the kingdom. The kingdom split. Evil, association, evil associations, wrong company, children in the house. Take note of this. Take note of this Bad parenting.
Speaker 4:Oh, aaron, eli, samuel faced the same thing. God killed the two sons of Aaron. Leviticus, chapter 10. God killed the two sons of Eli. Leviticus, chapter 10. God killed the two sons of Eli, hophni and Phinehas. God killed the two sons of Samuel, abijah and Joel. Why?
Speaker 4:Father did not do his job of raising good sons. He created a storm in the family. What kind of parent are you? You know, back in Africa our children are taught to obey their parents. My son is taller than me. Now he cannot look me in the eye and tell me whatever is in his mind. He has some level of respect for me. How are you raising your children? The Bible says raise up a child in the way he should grow. When he grows up, what happens? He will not depart from the way of truth, he will not depart of the way of righteousness. God wants us as parents in the house so we don't see the storms of life in the next years, by raising, being good parents.
Speaker 4:And then the last one unhealthy rivalry, divisions in the home, in the company, in the family of Joseph. He had 11 brothers from different mothers and there was an unhealthy rivalry. There was competition, there was hatred in the house and we all know the story. They wanted to kill him. Thank God for rescuing him. Then they sold him to slavery. Unhealthy rivalry In the office, unhealthy rivalry In your neighborhood, unhealthy rivalry.
Speaker 4:God wants us to calm these storms, to speak to these winds of our lives. All of these 12 winds, my God. I pray today that the Lord will rebuke every wind. In the name of Jesus, every storm in your family. I declare they have come to steal. In the name of Jesus, I declare peace. Be still. I declare peace, be still. I declare peace, be still In the name of Jesus. That marital challenge peace, be still. That financial crisis. Peace, be still. That hell storm. I declare peace. Be still. In the name of Jesus. Hallelujah.
Speaker 4:As I begin to round up now, you know, in this house, relay Church is like a ship. Remember, jesus was in the ship, because Jesus was in that ship. Relay Church is like a sheep. Remember, jesus was in the sheep, because Jesus was in that sheep. That stomp could not swallow the sheep. We have a sheep in this house, in Relay Church, we have a sheep and in this sheep there's discipleship, and that's why we have the TBI graduates today discipling you, discipling you to know God deeper. Have a rich relationship. As many of us that have not joined the Bible school, you've never been to a Bible school. The next set is coming up. You got to be a part of it. Tell your neighbor, be part of the TBI school, hallelujah. So there's discipleship in this ship. There's fellowship in this ship. That's why you are here on a Sunday morning. That's why you go for your small group meetings. There's fellowship in this house.
Speaker 4:Number three there's relationship in this house, relate, with your brother. The first person I met in Relate when we joined was Pastor Angie, the phone ringer. It was by email. The next person we met as we joined Relate was my brother here, brother Gentry, and ever since we've been in a relationship and I've met so many lovely people in this house. I've created a bond of friendship and relationship with a whole lot of people. I traveled how many thousands of miles from Nigeria. I came here, I came to this ship and I found relationship in this house. Find your place in this house and as you grow from relationship you get into friendship. Gentry knows my house, sean Halbert knows my house, richie knows my house, many of you we are in a relationship. Brother John, my big brother, is in a relationship with me. My mama in the house, mama Kayla, I we are in a relationship, brother John, my big brother. He's in a relationship with me. My mama in the house, mama Kayla. I love you so much, ma I'm in a friendship with her.
Speaker 4:The last dimension of partnership, of the ship is partnership. In this room, you will see people that you can partner with, maybe for business, for whatever, even for marriage, amen, amen, even for marriage, amen. I met my wife in a church 22 years, 26 years ago. He was in a church and that friendship, that relationship, grew to become a partnership today, 26 years after. So, guys, I pray for you. You will find your partner, whether in business, in marriage, in this house. I pray for you. You will find your partner, whether in business, in marriage, in this house. God bless you, hallelujah. One more thing, two more things before I go. Thank you, pastor Sean.
Speaker 4:In this house, you've not known the Lord. You've not known the Lord. God is calling you today to repent. You can come into this ship. He wants you. In this house, I want us to bow our heads and talk to God. Lord, god, I come to you today for as many that have not received Jesus into their life. I pray for you. Today, you will receive the grace of God. You will receive the forgiveness of God. You will receive the grace of God. You will receive the forgiveness of God. You will receive the help of God. You will receive the mercy of God. I declare upon you a brand new life upon you, in the mighty name of Jesus. Hallelujah. I want to invite the prayer team out. You want somebody to pray for you. The storms of your life are overwhelming. You need somebody to help rebuke the storm of your life. I want the prayer team to come out and then, please feel free, they will pray with you. The storm is over. The storm is over. This is how we fight our battle. This is how we fight our battle.
Speaker 4:God bless you, my friends.
Speaker 1:Awesome, awesome, awesome. Y'all give it up one time for Joseph. What a word. Let's stand up on our feet everybody. We are a little bit over time because of the graduation today, but I would like to invite you for just a moment. We're going to. If you want to come for prayer, the prayer team is going to be here. The worship team is going to worship. Otherwise, I'm going to dismiss you in the name of the Lord. And if you have any interest in being a part of TBI, there's a sign-up sheet for interest Not to sign you up for the class, but we'll get you more information right outside.
